MOOSE HUNTING
IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR AN ARCHERY HUNT FOR BULL MOOSE DURING THE RUT;

We have available archery hunts for Bull Moose in unit 18A. This is during the rutting period. No need to say more.
The hunt will be out of our camp on Beautiful Hanover Lake or at our Base camp on Lower Twin Lake.

We have four fly-in cabin camps, three fly-in spike camps, and two locations you can drive to for hunting moose.
The outpost camps that we fly to are located in unit 17 and 18A at Teabeau Lake, Miska Lake, Dusey Lake, and Marshall Lake.
The two outpost camps that we drive to are located at our Base Camp and at Hanover Lake. From the base camp you can hunt in 18A or 18B. Hanover is in unit 18A.
Ask us about our spike camp hunts into remote lakes that we have not yet hunted. These hunts are excellent opportunities for serious hunters to take moose.
We have three spike camps located in area 17.
We have Archery, muzzle loader, and rifle tags for 18B. We have Archery and Rifle tags for 18A.
These pdf maps are quite large, they may take awhile to download.
7 Lakes has the tags for you. You will need this tag and a license to hunt. (non-residents) We have bull, cow, and calf tags available.
If you are a resident of Ontario, and have a license, we can help with setting up your base of operations.
This part of Ontario has many and big moose. The habitat is perfect for
moose. Obviously some areas are better than others and your skill in
calling them in is very important. Most of the hunting here is during the
pre-rut or rut. Calling is very crucial to your success.
If you have never hunted moose, I recommend getting as much studying in as possible. Go to Ontario MNR site and find out more and some good links from there.
We have both rifle and bow hunting seasons in Ontario. Last year the Bow season was very good. The weather conditions were great during bow season.
Obviously you will need the appropriate sized rifle to get the gob done. Moose are very large and it takes a good bullet to put them down. Again, I can't over emphasize the need to study and practice before you go hunting.
As time goes on, we will bring you more information about next years hunt. If you are interested, please contact us early. There are limited tags and limited times to hunt. The seasons are listed on the MNR web site when they are established.
Our moose hunts are not guided. But if you would like a guide, contact us and we can have someone contact you about that service.
